Former journalist Lee Strobel was a devout atheist when his wife, Leslie, shocked him by converting to Christianity. The stunning about-face led the then-reporter on a spiritual journey to try and disprove his wife’s newfound faith.
But, in the end, something quite different happened.
Strobel, who has since detailed his investigative quest in the hit book “The Case for Christ,” ended up becoming so overwhelmed by the evidence he was uncovering that he abandoned his non-belief and came to embrace the Christian faith. Today, he’s a pastor, author and apologist, working to help others discover God’s purpose for their lives.
A new feature film — also titled “The Case for Christ” — is set to release nationwide on April 7, and will tell the dramatic story of how Lee and Leslie Strobel coped with her conversion to Christianity, the stress it put on their marriage as well as the process that Lee Strobel went through in pursuing his investigative quest.
The two sat down with Faithwire and Pure Flix last week to discuss these details, with Lee Strobel also diving into the evidence that finally convinced him to embrace God. Watch it all unfold below:
