1. Michael Flynn Agrees to Participate in Russia Probe in Exchange for Immunity
On Thursday The Wall Street Journal reported that President Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is willing to be interviewed by the FBI as part of the investigation into Team Trump’s alleged communications with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. Flynn’s attorney told reporters Friday that his client is in talks with Congress about potentially receiving immunity from “unfair prosecution” in exchange for his participation. President Trump posted on Twitter Friday, calling the probe a “witch hunt” and encouraging his former adviser to seek immunity:

2. Trump Executive Orders
President Trump is expected to sign two executive orders Friday related to trade. One of the orders reportedly aims to crack down on international trade abuses, according to Fox News.
This announcement comes one week ahead of Trump’s visit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. On Thursday evening, the president tweeted that he expects the meeting to be “very difficult.”

Trump noted repeatedly during his campaign that he would be “tough on China,” ending major deals and labeling the country a currency manipulator.

4. Rockwell Painting Recovered After More Than Four Decades
On Thursday, FBI officials recovered a stolen Norman Rockwell painting that had been missing for more than 40 years, the Associated Press reported. The 1919 painting, known as “Lazybones” or “Boy Asleep with Hoe,” is worth more than $1 million.

So far, it is unclear how the FBI was finally able to track down the painting, which was found in a New Jersey home.
