Just days after singer Jamie Lynn Spears’ husband Jamie Watson shared an update about his beloved step-daughter, 8-year-old Maddie, his mother Holly also offered up another statement about her granddaughter’s health.
Holly Watson asked the world for continued prayer as the little girl continues to make major strides in her recovery.
Jamie Lynn’s daughter was injured last Sunday in an ATV accident during a “hunting expedition” on the family’s Kentwood, Louisiana property when she fell off the vehicle and into a pond. She was reportedly rescued by medical staff after being underwater for several minutes and was airlifted to a local hospital for immediate care.
The specific details related to the young girl’s health have generally been kept quiet by the family, though Jamie and Holly Watson have offered some insights into what’s been unfolding since the accident.
And Holly said in a Facebook message that her granddaughter is “strong” and “on the road to recovery,” according to Radar Online.
“To all my friends and people all over the world who have prayed for Maddie our prayers have been answered. She is on the road to recovery!” she wrote. “Thanks to everyone who has reached out to our family! We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. Our granddaughter is a strong girl.”
