Thursday is “Bring Your Bible to School Day,” which means that hundreds of thousands of kids across the U.S. are heading to school with copies of the Christian Bibles in their hands — or backpacks.
Focus on the Family, a Christian organization, is spearheading the effort and encouraging young people of all ages to not only “bring their Bibles to school” but to also “talk about it with friends.”

Today hundreds of thousands of students will put their First Amendment into practice by participating in #BringYourBible to School Day. * “This is an event that is a visual reminder to students of their basic right to freely live out their faith,” Cushman said. “They can have their Bible on their desks during free reading time, they can read it during free time, and they can talk about it with their friends during free periods as well as before and after class.”
