Christian singer Natalie Grant has revealed that doctors did, indeed, find cancer in her thyroid during a recent surgery to remove the right side of the gland.
“It was, in fact, papillary thyroid cancer,” Grant said in a Facebook video this week, revealing that there were two cancerous nodules that needed to be removed.
The cancer, though, was completely contained, with Grant expressing elation over the surgery’s success and her healing.
“The doctor’s office actually said, ‘Congratulations, you have no more cancer in your body,'” she said. “The cancer was stopped dead in its tracks.”
Grant expressed her gratitude to fans for “praying and believing” and to God, explaining that she believes human beings are oft-times most connected to the Almighty during difficult times in their lives.
“The last few weeks, I’ve experienced [God] in a way like never before,” she said.
