Officials Capture Man Linked to New York & New Jersey Bombings

28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami, the man sources believe to be behind the series of weekend bombings that hit Chelsea, Seaside Park and Elizabeth, New Jersey has been picked up and taken into police custody following a shootout with officers in Linden.

Linden is located in New Jersey. An ABC local affiliate reported that, law enforcement officials said Rahami was seized on Monday after a series of gunfire.

The Afghanistan native and U.S. citizen is reportedly alive and in police custody.

Early on Monday morning, a 911 alert was issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) notifying the public that Rahami was at large and a prime suspect.
