After discovering his 15-year-old sister was killed in a car accident, Mark was devastated. He set out to make a long drive from Indiana to Michigan to be with his mother. He and his friend were speeding to get there, and got were pulled over. Both boys both already had some legal trouble — a suspended license and a petty warrant meant jail. Mark broke down, telling the officer about his sister and where he was headed. That’s when the outcome of Mark’s night quickly changed.
