I recently had the chance to chat with Kirk Cameron about his upcoming ‘Revive Us’ event in movie theaters nationwide Tuesday, October 18th.

Cameron discussed his past atheism and what led him to convert to Christianity, the reasoning behind his family’s decision to homeschool, and overcoming the current division in America.

Before the interview, some passerby’s on the street said hello and asked ‘how’s Ben?’ in reference to his role in the classic family sitcom ‘Growing Pains’. I asked him if he ever tired of getting asked about that – he said he didn’t mind at all. Judging by his pleasant demeanor with curious onlookers, he obviously meant it.

In recent years Cameron been active starring and directing in several Christian themed films and documentaries. He’s also promoted and taught on the topic of marriage at churches all across America.

Cameron’s Revive Us event, happening Tuesday, is a rallying cry for people of faith to come together and refocus on the one who can truly solve America’s problems. The event will feature several high profile speakers and musicians, including Eric Metaxas, Dr. Ben Carson and more.
