On Thursday, newly elected President Donald J. Trump met with President Obama in what news outlets are calling a “Historic White House Meeting”.
Real estate mogul turned President-elect, Donald Trump took outgoing President Obama up on an offer extended to him on election night and traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with the current Commander-in-Chief.
After being welcomed to his future home, the meeting between the two commenced. The topical discussion was originally scheduled for 10 minutes but lasted for 90. Both figures put their political differences aside and focused on uniting America and the importance of an easy transition.

Obama stating, “My No. 1 priority in the next two months is to try to facilitate a transition that ensures our President-elect is successful.”
In Trump’s response according to CNN, he said, “Mr. President, it was a great honor being with you and I look forward to being with you many, many more times.”
Even adding in that the current President, who has been in the line of fire by Trump during the republican’s campaign season is “a very good man” and Trump would seek counsel from Obama in the future.
