In case you missed it: One of the most talked about moments during Sunday night’s 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards was a joint performance by country star Reba McEntire and popular Christian singer Lauren Daigle.

The two teamed up to sing McEntire’s new song, “Back to God,” and the performance, which received a standing ovation, included nothing more than the two songstresses standing on stage and belting out the song’s faith-themed lyrics, as Billboard reported.

Watch a portion of their performance below:

Billboard described MeEntire and Daigle as “powerful” and said “the song’s religious lyrics took a front seat and had the audience mesmerized.” And The Christian Post dubbed the performance “unforgettable.”

As the Post noted, the standing ovation came after McEntire said, “We give this world back to God.”

Watch a longer version of the performance below:

As Faithwire previously reported, McEntire has been open in recent months about her decision to create a recently released gospel album titled, “Sing it Now: Songs of Faith & Hope,” saying the project was sparked by her recent life circumstances.

“I needed it myself, going through two and half years of changes in my life,” McEntire said, according to Fox News. “And who better to lean on than God? And that’s who I needed to be listening to. And I needed that faith, that faith strengthened, that hope.”

McEntire also told USA Today that she believes God has called her to this project, saying it’s “about changing lives.”

“It’s a message from God. That’s why I’m here, not to be rich and famous and popular but to help people. I’m the conduit or, as I call it, the water hose,” the singer said. “That’s what God wanted me to be when He gave me this voice: I’m supposed to stand up and give His message.”
