Pop star Selena Gomez surprised the world when she opened for Hillsong Church’s Young & Free Revival Concert in Los Angeles in February with a worship song she’d written herself.

When performing her song “Nobody,” the 23-year-old shared with concert-goers what it meant for her to be there.

“It’s about a relationship that is greater than anything, guaranteed,” she said, according to Billboard.

Gomez said she wrote the song “about the one thing that holds it all together” for her.

On Instagram, Gomez wrote of the experience that she was “grateful for His grace and understanding.”

first time I ever lead worship. I got to perform my first worship song I ever wrote. So grateful for His grace and understanding.

The Lyrics of the song, which she performed with Young & Free, include:

No oxygen, could barely breathe
My darkest sin, you’ve raised release
And it’s all because of you, all because of you
I don’t know what it is, but you’ve pulled me in
No one compares, could ever begin
To love me like you do
