As Ariana Grande’s concert came to a close at Manchester Arena Monday evening, terror struck in the form of a suicide bomber that killed 22 people, left dozens more injured, and put a city on edge as parents and friends looked for their loved ones. According the WSJ, ISIS has now taken credit for the deadly suicide bombing in an online statement that has yet to be independently verified.

The only way to overcome evil is with good, and the people of Manchester are inspiring the world and with their heroism and selflessness in the wake of a devastating terror attack that caused chaos in the streets.

The NY Daily News reported that not long after the explosion and the chaos that followed, many Manchester residents opened their doors to strangers who had no where to go when the trains had been shut down by police.

Taxi drivers also stepped up with offers of free rides to concert goers stranded by the incident and those searching for their loved ones awaiting information. Taxi services also provided free rides to local hospitals for those searching for friends and family, and other locations around the city that had opened their doors to individuals impacted by the incident.

Taxi services weren’t alone in their good will, black cabs stepped up and worked through the night for free.

Reports on social media claim drivers came from as far away as Liverpool to provide rides in the aftermath of the attack, according to the Independent.

The Independent cites a story of a young man named Brad Forde who was reunited with his cousin thanks to the services the drivers were providing. He was desperately searching for his cousin and his cousin’s girlfriend who got split up in the chaos, and tweeted:
