Thanks to a late three-pointer by superstar Kevin Durant, the Golden State Warriors maintained their history-making postseason record and now find themselves one win away from being crowned champions.

With just three minutes to go in Wednesday’s game three in Cleveland, the Cavaliers led the Warriors 113-109. But after getting a quick two points that put the Warriors within one, Durant nailed a three-pointer that put his team the lead for good. The win puts the Warrior’s playoff record at an astonishing 15-0, an NBA record.

Durant joined the Warriors at the start of the 2016-2017 season, after Golden State suffered a heart-breaking loss to the Cavs in last year’s Finals. The two-time Olympic gold medalist has four NBA scoring titles to his name and was named Rookie of the Year in 2008 and Most Valuable Player in 2014. He has also been extremely open about his faith and the role it has played in his career.

In an interview with Beyond the Ultimate, Durant talked about the importance of going to chapel before games and looking to the Bible for inspiration.

“I do go to chapel before every game,” he said. “I read my Bible now all the time… The Bible both pumps me up and balances me to play my best, but it also tells me more about the Lord and how I can live for Him and what all He has done for me.

“In the Bible, (it says) the Lord exalts humility and that’s one thing I try to be all the time. When I’m talking in front of people or when people tell me I’m great, I (remind myself that I) can always be better,” he continued. “Humility comes before honor. I always work on what I have now. I have to be thankful to the Lord for the gifts He’s given me. My gift back to Him is to always be humble and always work as hard as I can.”
