Police officers and rescue divers discovered the mother’s body floating with her daughter holding on. They could not revive the mother, but were able to treat the child, who had developed hypothermia. She is reportedly set to be released from the hospital, according to AP.
The body count from Harvey hovers around a dozen currently but may rise significantly once waters secede and everyone is accounted for. Continual prayers are most certainly necessary.
