Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dwayne Wade may be an NBA star, but off the court he’s a true family man,
Wade is showing support for his wife of three years, actress Gabrielle Union, after she publicly revealed their years-long struggle to have a baby.

Union wrote in her new book, “We’re Going to Need More Wine,” that she has suffered from several miscarriages.
“I have had eight or nine miscarriages,” Union wrote in the book, which was excerpted in People. “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”
After People published the excerpt, Wade, 35, wrote on Twitter that his wife “is one strong individual!!!”

Union plays stepmother to Wade’s three boys from his previous marriage – ages 16, 15 and 10. She said the joy she felt in helping to raise them made her realize that she wanted a baby of her own.
“I never wanted kids,” Union told People. “Then, I became a stepmom, and there was no place I’d rather be than with them.”
Earlier this year, Union described the chaotic life that comes with being parents to three burgeoning athletes.
“What we didn’t anticipate becoming were sports parents,” Union told Steve Harvey in February. “We’re those parents who give half-time lectures in the middle of the game … we’re those people.”
While Union, 44, has spoken about her troubles with IVF in the past, she wrote that she and Wade “remain bursting with love and ready to do anything to meet the child we’ve both dreamed of.”
Union’s book is scheduled to be released on Oct. 17.
