It’s been almost a year since Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, the war hero and long-time politician has continued to amaze the world with his determination and grit.
But over the weekend, McCain’s son-in-law, conservative pundit Ben Domenech, shared some personal news indicating the the end might be drawing near for the 81-year-old.
In a tweet posted Saturday night Domenech noted that McCain asked him to take care of his daughter, Meghan, AZ Central reported.
“John hugged me tonight. He asked me to take care of Meghan. I said I would,” Domenech, who married Meghan McCain last November, wrote. “F*** you soulless crazies. F*** you all the way to hell.”
The expletive-laced tweet, sent just after 8 p.m. Arizona time on Saturday, was deleted later that evening. It is unclear if Domenech’s comments were in reference to that evening’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, during which host Michelle Wolf took cheap, crude shots at various right-wing politicians and staffers.
Domenech’s followers responded by paying their respects to McCain and his family.
God bless to you and Meghan and the McCain family. Remember the vast majority of the American people support all of you. Don’t listen to the crazies. They’re just crazy.

Sen. McCain was released from the hospital following surgery last week and has been in “stable” condition at the Mayo Clinic, according to his family and Senate office. But Domenech’s emotional comments serve as a reminder of the six-term senator’s tenuous state of health.
Please pray for the McCains during this difficult time.
