Incredible video footage has emerged of a Sheriff’s deputy saving the life of a young child after he suddenly stopped breathing while in the back of his mother’s car.
Dashcam footage from Florida’s K9 Deputy Jeremie Nix’s police cruiser caught the moment white sedan pulled over to the side of the road and the boy’s mother leapt out of the car screaming that her son was unresponsive. The baby’s traumatized mother Nechole Crowell quickly flagged down Deputy Nix, who sprinted to help administer first aid to the young child.
Despite the life-saving measures taken by this brave officer, he noticed that the child, Kingston, was not improving. Immediately, he sped off to the nearby Ocala Regional Medical Center to seek further treatment for the gravely sick kid.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office shared some wonderful updates about baby King’s medical condition following the officer’s heroics.
“Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child. We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say he will make a full recovery!!,” the department’s YouTube page explained.
“Doctors also said that because of K9 Deputy Nix’s actions, Baby Kingston is alive today. We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!!”
The little man’s mother took to Facebook following the incident to thank the officer and praise God that her baby survived.
“Let me just say that yesterday GOD showed me just how real he was. My son KING was barely breathing, & fighting for his life. My sister & I noticed an officer sitting at a red light & we got his attention,” she wrote.
“With his fast thinking HE & GOD saved my son…. after his shift he and his beautiful wife came to shands just to see him again. His word to me was “Don’t you worry, i will not leave until i help save your son! GOD had me in the right place because he knew you needed me… THANK YOU OFFICER JAY NIX FROM THE OCALA SHERIFFS OFFICE K-9 unit!!”
“I just wanted the world to know how great this officer is, & how GREAT GOD is…….. not all officers are bad, he’s one of many good guys ❤️❤️ KING & I WILL FOREVER APPRECIATE YOU.”

As for Nix, he said that God simply placed him in the path of this little boy who so desperately needed some help. From his description of events, it was clear that the Lord’s hand was upon him in saving this child.
“The first words that came out of her mouth were ‘don’t let my baby die,'” Nix explained at a press conference. “When she handed me that baby it was like somebody handed me my kid. She just tasked me with saving her kid.”
Nix explained how the parking lot at the Ocala Regional Medical Center is usually a complete “nightmare” to navigate. But on this fateful day, it was a clear passage.
“By God’s divine intervention, that place was like a clear path for me,” Nix said. “I was there within a matter of seconds.”
“God put me in the right place at the right time for the right reason,” he told And obviously the proof of that is sitting in momma’s lap today,” Nix said, as reported by Fox News Insider. “I was just glad I was able to be there and be there for Nechole and Kingston.”
