The utterly miraculous happened at a Mississippi abortion clinic Wednesday when a woman emerged from the facility with a healthy baby girl. The services provided by Jackson Women’s Health Organization include “pregnancy testing, contraception counseling, and abortion services,” according to its website. But on this day, they were going to witness the emergence of life.

‘We Are a Pro-Life State’: Supreme Court Upholds Ban on Medication-Induced Abortions in Arkansas

A pregnant Mississippi woman, who remains nameless for confidentiality reasons, had visited the clinic to get an ultrasound scan when she unexpectedly went into labor. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Director Shannon Brewer said the baby was delivered by a clinic doctor before both mother and newborn were transferred to a local hospital for further care, according to the Clarion-Ledger.

“[The doctor] asked us to call 911, instructed us that they patient was fixing to deliver,” Brewer said, according to WJTV.

More from the Daily Wire:

“Since the woman was already pregnant, the only logical reason she was at the abortion clinic was presumably because she was considering abortion. Inquiring about contraception and pregnancy testing, which are the only two other services offered, when pregnant, is nonsensical.”

However, the clinic asserted that it does not “does not perform abortions after 16 weeks as an internal policy.”

Back in March, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant signed into law a ban on abortions after 15 weeks. This would mean the state’s new law on abortion has the strictest time limit on legal abortions in the country.

As for this one brave woman, she went home with a healthy baby.

“I’ve been here 18 years and I’ve never seen that happen,” Brewer said.

“At first we didn’t realize it was a live child and we’re really excited for a live child to be born here because we’re here week after week and what we see is women leaving here after having an abortion,” Dana Chisholm with Pro-Life Mississippi told WJTV.

The pro-life group is now seeking out the mother to offer their assistance as she begins the wonderful and challenging journey of parenthood, something she likely was not planning.

“The pro-life community is ready and willing to offer help to the mother and newborn child,” Pro-Life Mississippi said in a statement. “PLM regularly extend relational support, financial assistance, and referrals for healthcare resources to women who choose life for their children. Our number one goal is the safety of women and their babies. We are very happy that this mother and baby girl are celebrating life today. At the same time we mourn the mothers and babies who will suffer because a doctor with a dangerous history is allowed to perform abortions at this clinic.”
