Steph Curry is most notably known for his skills on the basketball court, skills which were on full display during game 2 of the NBA Finals against Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But Curry is also not shy about his faith and his love for God. He shared his testimony with Active Faith and detailed the impact his relationship with Christ has had one his life.

NBA Star Stephen Curry Prays Courtside With Emotional Youngster Who Just Lost His Dad

“There are so many things we have to work to overcome in this life but Jesus and his work on the cross, He paid the ultimate price for us. So, I am proud to be a child of God,” Curry stated.

Curry’s faith can be seen in action both on and off the court where he is constantly living out his faith in the Lord through service.

Last year Curry partnered with Liberty University and the Ntibonera Foundation in order to donate shoes to kids in the Congo:

Golden State Warriors basketball player Steph Curry teamed up with Liberty University and the “Kick’n It” foundation to raise awareness and collect 20,000 shoes for children in the Republic of the Congo last week.

Local news station WSLS10 reported that the basketball player is helping to secure large donations like his basketball sponsor, Under Armor. The athletic brand donated 1,000 pairs of children’s shoes in honor of the athlete’s efforts.

The inspirational campaign started several months ago after Liberty Union graduate student Emmanuel Ntibonera’s expressed his desire to donate 30,000 pairs of shoes to his home country, the Republic of the Congo.

Whether you are rooting for the Golden State Warriors or the Cavaliers, one thing is for sure: you can root for this young man’s faith!

It’s always awesome to see famous celebrities and athletes using their platforms to glorify God, instead of themselves.
