“Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love. He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early – which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful,” Jo posted to Instagram yesterday.

Jo also posted a sweet photo of her four other kids waiting excitedly outside her hospital room, desperate to meet their newest sibling. “One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. They couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother,” she wrote.

Chip broadcasted the wonderful news over Twitter Saturday, declaring that the family was “blessed beyond belief,” adding that “momma is doing great.”

The well-loved couple, who own an interior design business, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary last month.
