A mystery woman who was caught on camera in the middle of the night frantically ringing a doorbell in Texas has been found safe and well. Concern was raised when the footage was captured by a local resident, showing the woman wearing what appeared to be wrist restraints approaching the door looking for help.

Police in Montgomery County said the woman had been located and was reunited with her family. They would not release the name of the 32-year-old, stating that she had been a victim of domestic violence. Tragically, police also noted that her boyfriend, 49, had been found dead in a suspected suicide.

“On August 29th 2018 at about 11 a.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a welfare check call in the 18400 block of Sunrise Pines in the Sunrise Ranch subdivision,” Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Scott Spencer said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by Crime Online.

“Deputies received information a male made suicidal comments. When deputies arrived on scene they could not get an answer at the door and due to the circumstances made forced entry into the home. A man was found deceased inside the home,” he continued.

Police added that the woman’s boyfriend appears to have died from a “single gunshot wound.”

“The deceased’s girlfriend, a 32 year old white female, who was not on scene when deputies arrived, is confirmed to be the female in the doorbell ring video,” authorities confirmed. “Due to the female’s status as a family violence victim, the female’s identity can not be released at this time. The female is confirmed to be safe and with family. The investigation will continue.”

Spencer added that the deceased man also left a suicide note, which helped them identify the woman.

A resident at Sunrise Ranch was awoken to their doorbell ringing at 3:20 am last Friday, but by the time the resident had answered the door, the woman had fled. The woman ran barefoot around the local neighborhood, knocking on several doors. In an effort to locate the woman, police conducted an extensive door-to-door search and circulated images taken from the CCTV footage.
