The new film, “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” hits theaters today. After a long and challenging production process that threatened to block the movie’s final release, Americans can finally learn the truth about Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist whose grisly murder trial cast a permanent shadow on the dubious abortion industry.

The intense backlash surrounding the film only ramped up in the weeks and days leading up to the Oct. 12 premier, with abortion giant Planned Parenthood reportedly pressuring venues into canceling film screenings.
Then, on Tuesday, an online feud between “Gosnell” actor Dean Cain and actor Tom Arnold escalated into a real-life dispute backstage at “Larry King Now.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cain confronted Arnold about a Sept. 22 tweet, in which the comedian referred to the “Superman” star as a Donald-Trump-loving “fake Christian coward,” who is “anti-LGBTQ & racist.” Arnold was referring to Cain’s involvement with the Family Research Council. Last month, Cain spoke at the Christian conservative think tank’s Values Voters Summit.
“Tom, you’re a cowardly, slanderous weasel,” Cain tweeted at the time.
While waiting to discuss the “Gosnell” film on King’s show Tuesday, Cain refuted Arnold’s accusations in person.
“I’m not a racist person; I never have been,” he tells Arnold in a video posted by The Hollywood Reporter.
“I’ve always supported gay rights,” he added. “Let me finish for a second — you’re giving me guilt by association.”
Arnold shot back with a profanity-laced tirade in which he likened the FRC’s pro-family research and advocacy to Nazism.
“Don’t be with them,” he told Cain. “If I was with Nazis, if I go to their convention, they’re like that, Dean, I’m telling you. They’re that bad. They’re hurting people.”
“You know how many suicides of gay kids? They f***ing shame them and they try to keep them out of f***ing schools,” he continued. “Please hear me. That’s why it’s so visceral.”
Arnold then referred to “Gosnell” a “s**t-f***ing movie,” calling Cain an “idiot” and a “f***ing p***y.”

Arnold then claimed the FRC is “using” Cain to advance its political causes.
“Nobody is using me. I speak my mind,” Cain, who actually identifies as pro-choice, asserted.
Though hardly productive in changing either actor’s mind, the fiery argument ended with a handshake and a hug.
In the wake of the public dispute, a cartoon emerged online of Cain in his Superman costume asking Arnold if he’d “had enough.”

Cain stars as Detective James “Woody” Wood in “Gosnell.”
In an interview with Faithwire, producer Phelim McAleer stressed that the most important thing supporters can do is to show up “in force” for the film’s opening weekend.
“We need a big number opening weekend because that is [the] number that Hollywood [will] pay attention to,” he said. “When we have a big weekend it means the cover up is over and finally America will learn the truth.”
