Abortion giant Planned Parenthood has announced the disturbing news that a “blessing” ceremony has been scheduled for one of its clinics.

‘I Finally Understand…’: College Student‘s Stance on Abortion Dramatically Changes After Watching Gosnell Movie

The Columbus, Ohio, branch will host an event in which participants will “gather with local faith leaders and guests to ask for God’s blessing upon Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s East Columbus Surgical facility, the abortion providers and staff, and all those who pass through the center,” according to the organization’s statement.

The announcement further notes that “the Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, faith leaders, and honored guests” will be involved in the bizarre occasion. The statement also jabs that the “anti-abortion advocates do not have the monopoly on faith or God.”

It further asserts that “many faith leaders and people of faith hold that accessing and providing abortions are good and godly decisions.”

The event is set to include “interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about receiving and providing abortion care,” and will be a “celebration” of “conscience and moral decision making.”

“This clinic blessing will create space for progressive voices of faith to speak boldly in support of comprehensive reproductive health care, especially abortion,” the announcement concludes.

Despite Planned Parenthood’s desire to place a spiritual stamp of approval over the practice of abortion, many continue to fight back against this type of assertion. Mark Harrington, president of pro-life organization “Created Equal” says that abortion is similar to something commonly displayed in the Old Testament — in the form of child sacrifice. But instead of sacrificing children for the satisfaction of pagan gods, the killing is done under the guise of “women’s healthcare.”

“If you never believed abortion was child sacrifice, think again,” he wrote at LifeSite News. “These priests of child-killing may not be offering children as a human sacrifice to Molech, a Canaanite deity associated with the practice of child sacrifice, but instead are offering them to a modern false idol called ‘reproductive choice.'”

This isn’t the first time such a “blessing” has taken place at a facility that ends the lives of babies. Earlier this year, Presbyterian minister The Rev. Marvin Ellison joined with other chaplains to bless a facility in the state of Maine.

“There are some who assume that if you’re a person of faith, you must stand in opposition to all that Planned Parenthood represents, but that’s far from true,” he wrote in an article for the Press Herald.

“Throughout the U.S., according to the Public Religion Research Institute, the majority of religiously affiliated people support sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice,” he added. “Promoting health care for all, including reproductive and sexual health care, is an important religious value, and that commitment is nothing new.”

Almost inconceivably, Ellison did not seem particularly unnerved that he was endorsing an organization that aborts over 300,000 babies every single year.

“After all, a vocal minority, in the name of religion, has long objected to sexuality education and family planning and resorted to punitive, shaming language and scary images to try to prevent both women and men, cisgender and transgender alike, from seeking the health care they need,” Ellison continued, completely ignoring the reality of Planned Parenthood’s abortive work and sordid business of trafficking fetal remains.

Still, Ellison continued, saying he was proud to bless the work of Planned Parenthood.

”Recently our chaplains hosted a blessing of the Planned Parenthood health center here in Portland” he said. “We believe in its mission and applaud its life-affirming values. As we said during the blessing, ‘We thank God for Planned Parenthood and for the amazing work you do, day in and day out, with passion, courage, wisdom and grace.’”

“Hear this loud and clear: In the name of all that is holy and good, Planned Parenthood your name is blessed,” he continued. “Each staff member is a blessing to this community and to those for whom you provide health care, education and advocacy. You are the blessing, and we thank God for you.”

According to the Family Research Council, the rate of abortion in 2016 was so high that Planned Parenthood effectively aborted 881 babies every single day. Just to be clear: that means that in 2016, a baby was aborted every 98 seconds at a Planned Parenthood facility in the U.S.

Is that really something we want to bless?
