The Key Issue at the Heart of So Much Chaos and Pain

Humility matters. But don’t just take my word for it. The Bible gives us quite a bit to chew on when it comes to pride.

Rather than seeing ourselves above others, we’re called to serve and love those around us.

Listen to me break this all down in devotional form below:

Plus, here are a few verses on the topic:

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: ‘God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.’” -James 4:6

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one n in love.” -Ephesians 4:2

While some of us might not realize it, many of the personal, social and cultural problems we face are the result of a lack of humility — an assumption that we’re usually right or “better” than others. Tragically, too many of us are simply unwilling to waver, no matter the cost.

I know this is an area I still need plenty of work in. Join me?
