Protesters descended on conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s recent speech at Ohio State University, shouting vulgar obscenities and chanting about the late Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) death.

Video obtained by The Federalist’s Emily Jashinsky showed angry demonstrators shouting, “Reagan’s dead,” and, “John McCain’s dead,” Tuesday night, when Shapiro was slated to deliver a speech on behalf of the Young America’s Foundation.

And while the event was ongoing, protesters outside the venue could be heard screaming, “F*** Ben Shapiro.” The group, according to The Federalist, tried to march into the building, but were unsuccessful in their attempt to disrupt Shapiro’s event.

While a productive and civil discussion is going on inside the event, the hypocrisy of the Left is on FULL BLAST outside the venue.

Despite the raucous scene caused entirely by the student protesters, Ohio State’s Morrill Scholars Program circulated an email to its member students, warning them Shapiro’s “rhetoric has the potential to threaten the emotional and mental safety of much of the campus community.”

The email also invited those in need of a “safe space” or who didn’t “want to be alone” to gather with faculty and students from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Meghan McCain, co-host of “The View” and the late Arizona senator’s daughter, responded to protesters chanting about her father’s death, writing, “Hope all my followers join me in rooting for Michigan.”
