A group of good Samaritans used their collective strength to lift a several-thousand-pound car off a 6-year-old boy trapped underneath.

The boy and his family had gone to Logan’s Roadhouse in Conway, Arkansas, for lunch after church on Sunday when the near-tragedy occurred, his mother, Sarah Everett, told KARK-TV.

Sarah Everett, a mother of seven boys, had warned her children several times before to take caution when cars are present, but in a split second she turned around and her son Titus wasn’t there.

“It’s something you tell your kids a thousand times don’t run out by cars, don’t run out in a parking lot,” she said.

Next thing Sarah Everett knew, she saw Titus trapped underneath a car, and she was reassuring him that he would be OK.

“I remember telling him, ‘God is with you, Titus,’” Sarah Everett said.

He miraculously survived after a group of strangers, including Logan’s employees, a Conway Police officer who happened to be eating lunch at the restaurant and Titus’s older brother, Hudson, lifted the car off of him and helped get him to a hospital.

“The people were trying to lift the car, so more employees came out, and I ran around the car and turned off the car,” Hudson, sitting next to his brother, said.

Recovering from the incident, Titus recalled the moment he was saved.

“They picked up the car while I was under there, and I couldn’t move,” he said.

If the car had just moved one more inch, Titus could have died, KARK reported.

Titus suffered minor burns and cuts and was treated and released from the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

“It’s just amazing to me to think that a boy can live through that and then come out the other end with no broken bones,” Titus’s father, Jason Everett, said.

Sarah Everett credited divine intervention for bringing all of her son’s rescuers together.

“Really, God brought all these people together at the right time,” she said.
