When firefighters responded to an enormous blaze that had ripped through a local West Virginia church, they expected to discover a giant heap of ash. The fire, which broke out at Freedom Ministries Church in Grandview at about 1 a.m. Sunday, had absolutely gutted the church building. However, Coal City Fire Department personnel were staggered when, upon inspection, they found numerous Bibles and crosses had survived, completely unscathed. It was nothing short of miraculous.
“Though odds were against us, God was not,” the department declared in a Facebook post. “Picture this, a building so hot that at one point in time, firefighters had to back out. In your mind, everything should be burned, ashes.”
On March 3 around 12:58am our department was dispatched to assist Beaver VFD with a structure fire at the Freedom…
However, “not a single bible was burned and not a single cross was harmed!!” the department added. “Not a single firefighter was hurt! Prayers for the pastor and the congregation today.”
What a beautiful sight, to see the word of God remain untouched. Praise God for His word, which will always stay true even as the flames of destruction threaten to surround us.
