Apologist and renowned theologian, Dr. James White, gave an impassioned address this week before the Phoenix City Council Chambers, urging the city to become a “sanctuary city for the pre-born.”
White, who is the author of over 20 books and the founder of
of apologetics organization Alpha and Omega Ministries, compared the horror of Arizona’s abortive apparatus to the ghoulish Nazi concentration camp, “Buchenwald.”
Turning a blind eye to evil
“In April 1945, American forces were moving into the heart of Germany and they freed a city called Weimar,” White began his address to councilmembers. “Right up on the hill by Weimar was a very large concentration camp.”
“What they found there has become
stuffof legend. For example, the wife of the camp’s superintendent was fascinated by human skin. She had a lampshade made of skin and would have people killed and their tattoos preserved.”
White noted that, upon seeing the horrors made manifest at Buchenwald, U.S. Army General George S. Patton commanded that the mayor, magistrate and leading citizens of Weimar be forced to tour the camp to see what had been done right under their eyes for many years.
“Most would say that was a moral act on the part of the Americans,” he said, noting the indifference shown by the regular people of this small town. “The citizens of Weimar did nothing. They said ‘we didn’t know!'”
“They knew,” Dr. White asserted. “But they kept their eyes down.”
How will history treat us?
In light of America’s sky-high rate of abortion, this bol professoror had one simple question: “How will history treat us?”
“The reality is, within the borders of the city of Phoenix, more innocent children have been killed in equally gruesome ways than were ever killed in the Buchenwald concentration camp in the entire years that it was in operation,” White declared.
His next question was simple: Who is going to stop it?
“Will there be a General Patton who has to rise from the dead and force us to walk through the abortuaries?” he asked.
God look upon the abortion epidemic?
“I don’t think history is the most important thing,” White qualified.
The most pressing question, he said, should be this: “How will the judge of all history look upon us when we stand before H
With the reality of abortion being abundantly clear to anyone who seeks to know what really goes on behind clinic doors, we must understand that God Himself sees the states of our hearts toward this grave evil.
“He knows whether we knew or not and we live in a day where there is no reason not to know what’s going on — not to know the humanity of the pre-born child,” White said.
The theologian concluded with a convicting question and a heartfelt plea:
“When he [God] looks upon the donations we make to Planned Parenthood, will He see those things? I ask you please, make the city of Phoenix a sanctuary city for pre-born children. Save us from the infamy and the cowardice of Weimar.”

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
