On Monday’s episode of the View, Meghan McCain defended her pro-life beliefs, while her co-hosts relentlessly tried to shut her down.

The heated debate came after the hosts began to discuss the latest abortion bill passed in Georgia, which bans abortion once a babies heartbeat is detected.

Many social media activists took to the internet to bash the new law, actress Alyssa Milano even proposed that women stop having sex to protest the law.

The View hosts discussed Milanos “sex-strike,” as it was deemed on Twitter, in which Joy Behr derailed the conversation, arguing that Republicans are only pro-life because they want “set women back 50 or 75 years.”

“Let’s talk about why are men having such a war against women?” She asked. “Why is the Republican Party trying to set women back 50 years or 75 years? Why do they want us back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant? Why?”

McCain, who is the lone Republican on the show, started responding saying “It’s not what we want. It’s a difference of the way you view life. If you believe that life starts at conception and … ” before Behr cut her off.

“They want to regulate my body, but why don’t they regulate guns? It’s the same, people!” Behr shot back, raising her voice.

Ana Navarro, a guest co-host, proceeded to chime in saying rape is a “gray issue” for her because of all of the semantics that come with it.

Whoopi Goldberg said it was alright for McCain to feel the way she des, but that she shouldn’t be able to impose her views on other people.

“Science backs it,” McCain said to Whoopi. “Liberals always want to believe science when it comes to climate change and things like that, but when it comes to life …”

Whoopi responded saying that McCain’s belief is McCain’s belief, but that she can’t claim it is science.

“You don’t believe the science that backs it up as well?” McCain shot back.

“Don’t say ‘You don’t believe,'” Goldberg warned. “That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying I don’t believe that the minute you conceive you are with child. I believe that a lot of things have to happen, a baby has to become a zygote, there have to be all kinds of things going on.”
