Beth Chapman, wife of television star Dog the Bounty Hunter, passed away Wednesday morning after a battle with throat cancer, which she described in May as the “ultimate test of faith.”

Duane “Dog” Chapman posted a tweet Wednesday, saying his wife died at 5:32 a.m. after lengthy fight against cancer.

It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.

Beth Chapman was diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2017. Although a 13-hour surgery to remove a tumor from her neck was successful, the cancer returned as stage-four lung cancer in November 2018, WWSB-TV reported.

She was rushed to the hospital in April, when doctors discovered almost four liters of fluid in her lungs. But despite all that, Beth Chapman stayed true to her faith.

The late TV star shared some of her testimony during a Mother’s Day service at The Source Church in Bradenton, Florida.

“I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’” Beth Chapman said. “He’ll roll his eyes at me again, because I know why — because this is the ultimate test of faith. It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.”

She went on to say God “doesn’t do things for no apparent reason,” but admitted it sometimes take a while “to figure out what your lesson is in the circumstance that you’re going through.”

“I am not defeated by my weakness and endure in this treatment,” the 51-year-old TV personality continued. “When I am surrounded with troubles on every side, and when I face persecution, because of my love for Christ, I am made yet stronger now.”

Beth Chapman had four biological children and eight “bonus” kids, as she calls them, from her husband Duane Chapman’s previous marriages.

She described all of them as “the greatest gift I ever got,” adding, “I hate the word ‘step-stepmother.’ I don’t like to be set separate from them. I am a bonus parent, and I say that proudly.”
