Thousands of young and passionate Jesus-followers have filled a stadium just outside Atlanta for a conference hosted by Jentzen Franklin’s Free Chapel Church.

The “Forward Conference” was held at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth and was focused on inspiring young Christians to go out into the world and make a difference.

“When students are given more than just rules and regulations and given the opportunity to really make a difference in the world, I have found time after time they rise to the occasion,” Franklin told Fox News.

A number of fundraising causes took center stage at the event, with students giving generously to New Beginnings, a ministry that seeks to serve women in inner-city Atlanta who have been suffering abuse.

The young people also gave money for to the Dream Center, a faith-based group that “finds and fills the needs of struggling people from all over the United States.”

The Dream Center seeks to “connect broken people to a community of support by offering free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of poverty, addiction, and abuse,” according to its website.

Carl Lentz of Hillsong NYC and DawnChere Wilkerson of VOUS Church were two of the high-profile Christian leaders preaching at the event.

“Why not use what has been provided for you? Why do we do things on our own?” Lentz challenged. “The next chapter of your faith starts with a renewed desire to get to know the Holy Spirit. We desperately need the Holy Spirit to refresh us every day.”

According to its website, Forward Conference is committed to “teaching, equipping, and empowering students to live out their greatest potential, and to move Forward in their relationship with Christ.”

What an incredible sight to see so many young people surrendering their all to Jesus!
