A new survey shows a majority of Americans support state laws protecting children from transgender-related surgeries and procedures.
The new poll, conducted by CRC Research and first shared with The Daily Wire, found 67% of the 1,600 registered American voters surveyed support legislation banning minors from undergoing trangender surgeries or treatments, such as puberty-blocking and cross-sex hormone therapies.

The study compiled data from voters across the U.S. from Jan. 3-7. The roster of respondents was composed of 35% Democrats, 34% independents, and 30% Republicans.
A majority of every demographic — from Republicans (73%) to independents (71%) to Democrats (61%) — supported laws to protect kids from transgender-related treatments.
The study further revealed voters clearly oppose the implementation of health centers in public schools that would grant children access to cross-hormone therapies and other transgender-related treatments.
January Littlejohn, a parental advocate with Do No Harm, told The Daily Wire the survey’s findings confirm “gender ideology is a unifying issue across party lines and a vast majority of Americans support parental rights and restricting irreversible medical transition interventions for minors.”
“Americans also oppose our government pushing community school health clinics that will further threaten parental rights,” she added.
Eighty-one percent of the voters polled supported parents being informed about conversations with their children regarding gender dysphoria and transgender-related matters.
A vast majority of Republicans (88%) as well as most independents (76%) and Democrats (71%) said they trusted parents more than teachers and school officials to discuss with their children issues of sexuality and gender identity.
The results of the CRC Research study come as two Michigan parents are suing their daughter’s public school district over allegations that district officials were socially transitioning their daughter to identify as a male without seeking any parental consent or input and even attempting to conceal their actions.
