Dozens of missing children are found and safe thanks to a joint effort involving Tim Tebow.
The foundation launched by the former NFL star partnered with the National Child Protection Task Force to rescue 71 missing and runaway children around New York.
“[I’m] so grateful that 71 missing and endangered children have been identified and are safe!” Tebow wrote in an Instagram post celebrating the accomplishment. “So often, when children run away, they don’t know the danger they’re running into — trafficking, exploitation, drugs, violence, criminalization. … It’s critical we find them, and find them fast.”
The initiative — a pairing of the Tim Tebow Foundation and the NCPTF — was a “first-ever” endeavor and focused on Albany, Schenectady, and Troy.
“The operation brought together more than 60 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private partners to collaborate and provide critical investigative support,” wrote Tebow. “During the three-day operation, partners worked to explore new leads, review case notes, and leverage technology to find children who are at risk of endangerment, exploitation, and harm.”

President Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples, among many others, responded to Tebow’s Instagram post with prayer-hand and praise emojis.
In a statement of his own, NCPTF co-founder and CEO Kevin Branzetti said, “Every missing child is at risk, regardless of how they are classified—runaway, abducted, or missing. And every child deserves urgency, care, and action.”
Tebow founded his eponymous foundation in 2010. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the nonprofit offers spiritual and practical care to vulnerable children. Tebow’s mission is to offer “faith, hope, and love,” citing the words of 1 Corinthians 13.
