When a homeless man stopped by a church event and asked for a drink of water, several church volunteers were more than happy to oblige. One good samaritan even offered to give the man a ride. But not long after they hopped into the car, the man pulled out a knife and demanded cash.

Undeterred by the knife being held near his head, the young man driving the car simply stopped the vehicle and turned it off. He then opened the door, got out and proceeded to calmly walk around to the passenger side. Then, he opened the passenger door and said something that baffled the knife wielding perp.

According to a witness, he simply said “It’s time for you to get out.” Apparently not expecting any resistance the man was in a bit of shock, as if this robbery didn’t go according to the plan. Unsure what to do next, he just got out of the vehicle. The good samaritan said one parting thing before getting back into the car and taking off.

“May the Lord be with you.”

Clearly, God gave this young gentlemen the strength and words he needed to get through a potentially deadly situation.
